Lynn Chen, a Taiwanese artist, specializes in acrylic painting with the theme of healing and a little fantasy. Love to listen to the stories from guests and describe the world that belongs to stories for them. The works show the fusion of western style and oriental ink and wash elements. 陳瑩瑩，出身臺灣臺北，擅長以療癒帶一點奇幻為主題的壓克力畫，喜愛聽客人的故事並為他們描繪出屬於那個故事的世界。作品特色呈現了西方風格與東方水墨元素的融合。自學壓克力畫，曾經主修服裝設計並做了十年的布料設計師，也曾參與過紐約時裝周的工作，旅居台北、紐約和多倫多。目前暫居台北，歡迎向我訂製屬於你的故事，商業合作或藝術展出。

Artistic Approach

My works convey the idea of life and spirituality. I usually use plants and animals mentioned in Eastern mythology as metaphors in my paintings. This is comes from the fact that I was once very close to death, and I have gained a new level of understanding my life.

I try to use acrylic colors to show the fusion of oil painting and Chinese ink painting. Furthermore, the Japanese illustration has a deep influence on me in terms of color and composition since I was a child, so my works often have Japanese representations.

創作理念

我的作品傳達的是對生命的意念及靈性的感悟，因為喜愛東方的神話與宗教故事，作品常用神話裡提及的動植物或是自然景象作為隱喻。這源自於我曾經離死亡非常接近，漫長的治療使我對生命有了新一層的體悟，創作是我生命的泉源。

我嘗試使用壓克力顏料表現出融合油畫與水墨畫的風格，與此同時，日本插畫對我的童年與青少年時期影響很深，所以在配色與構圖上也常受日本插畫的影響。
